Basic Aniseikonia Test

Color Vision Recorder softwareProduct description

The Basic Aniseikonia Test is an easy-to-use Windows software program to test the (optically-induced) aniseikonia of a patient.

The test is based on the direct-comparison method, similar to tests such as the Aulhorn phase difference haploscope, New Aniseikonia Test, or the Double D eikonometer.  The main advantages of the Basic Aniseikonia Test are its ease-of-use and its price.

The screenshots will give you a good sense of what the software is about.  When running a test, there will be two semi-circles on the screen.  Looking through red-green glasses, the patient's task is to modify the size of one of the semi-circles until he/she perceives both semi-circles as equal in size.

For some applications, the Basic Aniseikonia Test will suffice.   However, if you are looking for a complete aniseikonia management tool (i.e. advanced testing + designing a correcting prescription) you are probably looking for the Aniseikonia Inspector.  The product comparison page will show you the difference between the software packages.
