  1. What is the price of the Color Vision Recorder?

  2. Is it possible to try the software before purchasing?
    Yes, if you are an Eye Care Professional looking to purchase a color vision testing or scoring tool, you can request a (time-limited) trial by sending us an e-mail (for e-mail address, see here).  Please describe who you are and what your interest in the product is.  Also provide us with your computer ID number, which is needed to copy-protect the software.  You can view your computer ID number by running this program.
     
  3. I work in two offices.  Can I purchase a single software license and use the software in both offices?
    Yes, if you buy a deluxe package the software can be installed on as many computers as you like.  Note, however, that the USB dongle needs to be attached to the computer when running the software.  So you would need to carry the USB dongle with you.
     
  4. Is it possible to enter previously recorded D15 or FM100 test results in the database (recorded with 'hardware' tests) and obtain the color confusion scores, etc.?
    Yes, the software can also be used for scoring only.  If you only want to use it for scoring, you can get a discount, see: price/order page.
       
  5. Can the Color Vision Recorder be used with a laptop/notebook?
    This is no problem when using the software only for scoring.  However, when you also use the software to do actual color vision tests, we recommend using a desktop computer and monitor.  The reason is that the screens of laptop/notebooks often cannot be adjusted for color temperature, contrast, and 'brightness'.  Furthermore, the viewing angle of laptop/notebook screens is usually smaller than that of desktop LCD or CRTs.
